Annual Yunker Farm egg hunt a go even with snow on ground
“We’ve had 80 degrees out, we’ve had rain, we’ve had sleet, we’ve had snow,” she says. “We do the Easter Eggstravaganza no matter what. The North Dakota kids are hearty.”
And the hunt will go on this year, regardless of the snowpack.
Volunteers will get the sidewalks plowed, as well as an area for the littlest egg hunters. The big kids? “They’ll wear snow boots,” Nasset says.
Besides, Nasset points out, all the other Eggstravaganza activities, including egg dyeing, arts and crafts and photo opps with the Easter bunny, are inside the 1876 farmhouse at 1201 28th Ave. N.
The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, with egg hunts at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Cost is $5 per person, but free for children age 1 and younger and members. (701) 232-6102.
