Letter: ‘Sanctity of life’ doesn’t go far

Let me know when the North Dakota Legislature feels as strongly about the sanctity of the life of a child who is without health care or languishes in subpar child care as they do about the sanctity of a fertilized egg.

Let me know when the Legislature feels as strongly about funding pre-K education as they do about funding federal lawsuits.

Let me know when the Legislature feels as strongly about pain felt by injured workers as they do about “fetal pain.”

Let me know when the Legislature feels as strongly about protecting life in cars (seat-belt laws, stronger DUI laws) as they do in wombs.

Let me know when the Legislature feels as strongly about the personhood of North Dakota’s LGBT residents as they do about the personhood of embryos.
