Letter: Cherish legacy of ND personhoodI feel the need to respond to the many women, especially those who formed the coalition, who presented their viewpoint at the Civic Center rally.
As an 82-year-old mother, businesswoman and perhaps other attributes, it is beyond me how such a disrespect for life has developed within our society, especially among young women. I thank the governor for recognizing the value of life. It is hard to imagine how women can be so callous when it comes to the sanctity of life and what a precious gift it is. Of course, for the young women who have never held their dying child in their arms, it’s very hard to comprehend.
Choices are always hard, but there are so many people who would love to adopt the child they so long for with waiting arms.
As a former Forum employee, I am disappointed at the pro-choice news reporting, editorial and column content dominated by women. The Forum has only one columnist who is a true spokesperson for life.
Hopefully the young women of our state will recognize the heritage of our state and cherish the legacy of new personhood and the right for all conceived to be born.
