Authorities ID woman killed in Amidon crashAMIDON, N.D. – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified a 30-year-old Rhame woman who died in a Saturday afternoon head-on collision west of here.
Authorities said Johanna E. Njos was trying to negotiate a curve on ice-covered U.S. Highway 85 when she lost control of her 2009 Ford Fusion and slid into the lane of an oncoming Mack semi hauling a flatbed trailer. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.
The truck’s driver, 55-year-old Pedro A. Hernandez of Perryton, Texas, was uninjured.
