Benson County tops Beach in Class B girls BB fifth-place game

FARGO - Beach junior center Hailee Farstveet had a 3-pointer bounce off the front of the rim as time expired in the fifth-place game won by Benson County 50-47.

Farstveet was attempting to force overtime, but Wildcats escaped with the consolation championship led by the scoring of sophomore forward Andrea Jorgenson, who finished with 15 points.

Bailey Waldal scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Beach (20-7).

Katelynn Engh added 12 points for Benson County – a co-op of Maddock and Leeds. The Wildcats finish the season 26-2.
