UND signs exchange agreement with Norway schoolGRAND FORKS — The University of North Dakota has signed a student and faculty exchange agreement with the University of Bergen in Norway.
Officials say the agreement centers on research related to oil development. Norway is one of the world's leading oil producers, and North Dakota is the second-largest oil-producing U.S. state, behind Texas.
UND already has a number of academic and cultural links to Norway, including an exchange program with the American College of Norway in Moss, Norway. UND's Chester Fritz Library also is home to a large collection of Norwegian genealogical, cultural and geographical information.
