East Grand Forks robbery suspect identified
An arrest warrant has been issued for Michael Wade Zvirblis on the charge of robbery. He faces 10 years in prison or a $20,000 fine. Police said Monday that he has not been located and is considered dangerous.
The robbery happened shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday. According to police, Zvirblis knocked the victim off his medical power scooter and took his wallet. He helped the man back on to his scooter, then fled the scene. Zvirblis got away with $65 in cash and the victim’s debit card. Police were able to get a good description of him from VFW surveillance video, officials said. People at the VFW told the police he had been in the VFW earlier and hinted at not having a place to stay.
