Wieters, Ford help Orioles upend Minnesota 7-1

SARASOTA, Fla. – Matt Wieters hit a two-run homer, Lew Ford drove in three runs and Steve Johnson pitched four scoreless innings to help a Baltimore Orioles split squad beat the Minnesota Twins 7-1 on Sunday.

Twins starter Vance Worley, who could get the ball on opening day, gave up three runs and six hits. He walked one and struck out three.

Brandon Boggs homered with two outs in the ninth for Minnesota’s only run.
