Region under travel alert after Fargo picks up 4 inches of snowFARGO – We keep plowing toward spring – literally.
Friday’s doses of snow had crews and residents clearing streets, sidewalks and driveways Saturday morning.
Snowfall totals ranged from 3 to 4 inches throughout the Red River Valley, with 4 inches in Fargo and 4.5 inches in Grand Forks, according to the National Weather Service.
A travel alert has been issued for portions of north, central and eastern North Dakota, including Fargo, Grand Forks, Valley City and Minot.
Travel is still permitted, but drivers may encounter challenging winter weather conditions, including reduced visibility and scattered snow drifts, according to North Dakota Department of Transportation.
Saturday's high in Fargo-Moorhead will be around 15 degrees with a north wind of 10-20 mph. Another chance of snow is possible Sunday night.
