Police say Minn. teen created school 'hit list'

RUSH CITY, Minn. — Authorities in east-central Minnesota have arrested a 13-year-old boy they say created a hit list titled “bullies” and a list of people who wouldn't be killed.

Chisago County sheriff's officials were alerted Thursday after the alleged hit list was recovered from the teen, already on probation for previous threats.

Deputies interviewed the boy, who confirmed he had put the list together. Authorities interviewed other students who had seen the lists — one of students who wouldn't be killed and a second list of students on a “hit list.”

The boy is a student in the Rush City School system. Rush City Schools Superintendent Vern Koepp (kehp) tells WCCO-AM (http://cbsloc.al/13XPAEC) students were concerned that their names or others were on the list.

The boy was arrested and is in a detention facility.
