Journalist Farrell to speak in Fergus FallsFERGUS FALLS, Minn. – Personal finance expert and award-winning journalist Chris Farrell will be the guest speaker at the annual Bigwood Lecture at 7 p.m. April 2 here in Legacy Hall on the campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
His address is titled “Work-tirement: How Aging Boomers Will Change the Way the Younger Generation Thinks about Work and the Good Life.”
Farrell, of St. Paul, is a familiar voice to fans of public radio, where he was the host and executive editor of “Right on the Money.”
He currently is senior economics contributor at Marketplace, the nationally syndicated public radio business and personal finance program.
He also is a columnist for Bloomberg Business Week, Next Avenue and the Star Tribune and the author of three books, most recently “The New Frugality: How to Consume Less, Save More and Live Better.”
The event is free and open to the public.
