Schiller takes second at Big Ten wrestling championshipsCHAMPAIGN, Ill. – University of Minnesota wrestler and former West Fargo standout Scott Schiller finished second in the 197-pound weight class at the Big Ten wrestling championships Sunday.
Schiller – a three-time North Dakota state champion with the Packers – lost the championship match to defending national champion Quentin Wright of Penn State by a 5-3 decision.
Wright – ranked No. 2 nationally at 197 – scored takedowns in both the second and third periods to defeats Schiller and improve to 27-0 on the season.
The Gophers finished second behind Penn State in the team competition.
