NDSU’s Sprenkle, Monk headed to Division I wrestling championships

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Trent Sprenkle and Steven Monk secured berths at the NCAA Division I wrestling championships by winning their weight classes at the West Regional on Saturday.

Sprenkle won at 125 pounds, while Monk took the region title at 165 pounds.

The Bison finished just three points behind Wyoming for the team championship.

Team scores: Wyoming 79, North Dakota State 76, Utah Valley 70, Air Force 63.5, South Dakota State 16.5.
