The North Dakota Association of Technology Leaders spring conference will be April 11-12 at the Doublewood Inn, Fargo.
The conference is for educators, school technology coordinators or anyone interested in learning new technology practices.
This years theme is Piecing IT Together and the keynote speaker will be Richard Byrne, best known in the educational technology community for his blog, Free Technology for Teachers.

ND Development Fund awards fund requests
The North Dakota Development Fund, a loan program within the North Dakota Department of Commerce, has awarded funding for four projects. The requests funded include:
- Horsch Anderson, Mapleton, a $600,000 loan to help finance the building of a new manufacturing facility.
- Next Healthcare, Grand Forks, a $50,000 loan to fund the companys working capital.
- Packet Digital, Fargo, renewal of a $750,000 line of credit to finance the companys working capital needs.
- Taft & Main Properties, Hillsboro, a $73,000 loan to purchase an existing building in Hillsboro to renovate and lease for a day care facility.
US Bank, Red Cross announce partnership
U.S. Bank and the American Red Cross have formed a partnership that will provide disaster preparedness funding, opportunities for customer contributions and increased employee volunteer opportunities.
The partnership includes an annual commitment of $250,000 from the bank to help the Red Cross prepare for vital disaster services.
Designated U.S. Bank ATM will be set up so customers in local markets can contribute when disaster strikes their community or region. During National American Red Cross month in March, the bank will host Employee Awareness and Preparedness Fairs. Throughout the year, employees will also have the opportunity to donate blood and volunteer time to the charity.
Nodak Mutual declares crop hail dividend
Nodak Mutual Insurance Co., Fargo, has declared a 9.68 percent dividend to crop hail policyholders.
The dividend represents more than $550,000 that will be returned to Nodak Mutual crop hail policyholders.

Great Plains Land Expo slated Nov. 20 in Fargo
The annual Great Plains Land Expo, presented by Pifers Auction and Realty and The Forum, will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Holiday Inn, Fargo.
Attendees will hear from industry experts in agricultural production, agricultural investing, minerals, wind energy, farm policy and more.
Nationally-known speakers Mark Dotzour and Stephen Barth will deliver keynote addresses.
Dotzour is chief economist at the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University. He will discuss trends for real estate values and transaction volumes, and will give tips on how to make good investment decisions.
Attorney, professor and motivational speaker Barth will discuss managing emotional energy and intelligence to maximize success, especially during times of change.
Breakout sessions will cover mineral updates, farm land rental agreements, farm land values, the states economic profile, estate planning, the impact of energy and agricultural booms on the environment, and buying, selling and managing farm land as an investment.
