Discovery Benefits, Fargo, has hired Scott Sweetland, Adam Delleneva and Elizabeth Koch as participant services specialists, Pat Deitz as a COBRA accounting specialist, Amy Marsden as a partner account director and Tom Anundson as a claims specialist.
Lake Agassiz Regional Library names director
The board of trustees of Lake Agassiz Regional Library has named Liz Lynch as the new library director.
Lynch has worked for LARL since 2001. She received a masters degree in library science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She previously worked as a library assistant at Livingston Lord Library at Minnesota State University Moorhead and Carlson Library, Clarion, Pa., and as a research librarian for Enoch Pratt Free Library, Baltimore.
She has served as LARLs electronic resources librarian, including responsibility for staff training, Moorhead Public Services supervisor, LARL youth services co-coordinator and currently as Moorhead hub supervisor.
Anderson joins Konrad Olson real estate firm
Al Anderson has joined Konrad Olson Commercial Real Estate in Fargo. He will specialize in retail and office sales/leasing and business brokerage.
He was previously a district manager of retail operations for 32 pharmacy stores in the region and was also a broker associate at Park Co. Realtors where he was a top sales associate in multiple categories in 2012.
Anderson has a bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota Moorhead.
Gronvold promoted at Cornerstone Bank
Faye Gronvold of Cornerstone Bank, Fargo, has been promoted
to personal banking assistant/customer service representative.
She has been with Cornerstone Bank since 2010.
Mastenbrook hired as New York Life agent
Mamie Mastenbrook has been hired as an agent at the North Dakota General Office of New York Life Insurance Co., Fargo.
She lives in Kindred, N.D., and earned a bachelors degree from North Dakota State University.
Property Resources Group adds Dan Hicks
Dan Hicks has joined the commercial sales and leasing division of
Property Resources Group, Fargo.
Hicks previously worked in the commercial and property management departments at Town & Country Realty in Fargo.

Sellin Brothers Inc., Hawley, Minn., has hired David Swafford as a project manager/estimator.
Swafford earned a bachelors degree in construction management and a minor in business administration from North Dakota State University.
He previously was the project engineer for K E & G Construction, Tucson, Ariz.
Varistar Corp.hires Jayson Kuznia
Jayson Kuznia has been hired as manager of continuous im-provement for Varistar Corp., the diversified businesses of Otter Tail Corp. He will be based in the corporate headquarters in Fargo.
Kuznia has an extensive background in manufacturing and quality control, including experience in the implementation of Lean, TQM, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, Error Proofing and SQA Auditing.
He worked most recently as director of engineering at DMI Industries, a former Otter Tail Corp. company. He also previously worked at Integrity Windows and Doors, Polaris Industries and CNH Global.
Kuznia is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.
Jamie Thompson joins AgCountry Farm Credit
Jamie Thompson has joined AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Fargo, as an accounts payable specialist. She was pre-viously employed as office manager with SA Mechanical, Fargo.
Thompson attended Aakers Business College, Fargo.
Otter Tail Power Co. names general counsel
Jennifer Smestad has been named general counsel of Otter Tail Power Co. She previously served as Otter Tail Corp. senior associate general counsel. She will also retain the role of assistant secretary for the Otter Tail Corp. board of directors.
Smestad graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and earned a juris doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
Before joining Otter Tail Corp., she was an associate attorney and partner at the Pemberton Law Firm, Fergus Falls, Minn.
Christiansons hires Skunberg as accountant
Mary Beth Skunberg has joined Christiansons Business Furniture as an accountant. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelors degree in accounting.
Skunberg has more than 20 years of experience in the accounting field.
TMI hires learning, development manager
TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Mary Schoenborn as organizational learning and development manager.
Schoenborn earned a bachelors degree in speech communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead and most recently served as the organizational learning and development manager for the west region of Essentia Health.
She also served as director of client services for Minnesota State Community Technical College, Moorhead, and as human resources/management consultant for Great Plains, Fargo.
Vanitys corporate office hires Heck, Lunder
Vanitys corporate office in Fargo has hired Emily Heck as a human resources data entry specialist and Aja Lunder as a merchandise planner.
Heck previously worked in human resources at Discovery Benefits and Forum Communications Co. She graduated from Minnesota State community and Technical College with an associate degree in human resources.
Lunder previously worked at Victorias Secret and Wells Fargo Bank. She graduated from MSCTC with an associate degree in fashion management, marketing and sales.
Sando joins AAA ND as sales, service agent
Drew Sando has joined AAA North Dakota as a sales and service agent in the branch office at 4950 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
Sando, a native of Grafton N.D., attended the University of North Dakota and the University of Minnesota Duluth. He is licensed to sell property, casualty, life and health insurance in North Dakota.
He previously worked as an assistant golf professional.
Lochow promoted at Choice Financial
Benjamin BJ Lochow has been promoted to senior frontline specialist at the Choice Financial location at 4501 23rd Ave. S., Fargo.
Lochow has been with Choice Financial since November as a frontline specialist and has more than eight years of previous banking experience as a customer service representative with another local financial institution.
He attended the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Two promoted at Northwestern Bank
Northwestern Bank has promoted Saysamone Sandkuai and Heather Kahly to personal bankers.
Sandkuai will be working at the Moorhead location, and Kahly will be at the Dilworth location.

Both will provide service and sales assistance for the business products, professional printing and promotional product divisions.
Britton has several years of sales and customer service experience, and Fortes previous experience in the industry includes business products, printing and promotional/apparel sales.
Beth Brantner hired as counseling director
Beth Brantner is the new counseling director at Lost and Found Ministry, Moorhead.
Brantner has many years of experience as a mental health and addictions counselor. She spent several years working with at-risk youth in a residential treatment facility.
She has a masters degree in counseling from North Dakota State University.
