Police investigate Fargo stabbingFARGO – Police here are investigating a stabbing reported at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of 14th Street North.
According to Lt. Joel Vettel:
The victim drove himself to Sanford Medical Center, where he was treated for a small laceration to his chest.
The victim told police he arrived home about midnight, got out of his pickup truck and was immediately confronted and stabbed by a man he described as a white male in his mid-40s, 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing a stocking cap, green jacket and blue jeans.
The victim said the man took his wallet and removed $800 from it before throwing it on the ground.
Officers set up a perimeter in the area and attempted a K-9 search but were unable to establish a track or find anyone in the area who matched the victim’s description of the suspect, Vettel said.
“We’re currently working with the victim to establish exactly what happened,” he said. “There apparently were no witnesses to the incident.”
