Probation ordered for Bismarck mother accused of letting 15-year-old drink until she passed outBISMARCK, N.D. — A Bismarck woman accused of allowing her 15-year-old daughter to drink alcohol to the point of passing out has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge and been sentenced to probation.
Janelle Guy, 33, pleaded guilty to contributing to the deprivation of minors, and authorities dropped a felony child abuse or neglect charge. Guy was given credit for 27 days served in jail and ordered to pay $350 in court fees.
Guy was accused of allowing several teenagers to drink in her apartment last October. She stood trial last month but a jury failed to reach a verdict and the judge declared a mistrial.
