Events set at MSUM to mark International Women’s DayMOORHEAD – Minnesota State University Moorhead’s women’s and gender studies department and Women’s Center are hosting two events in celebration of “Sewing Seeds: International Women’s Day Eve.”
A “Soup and Seeds” open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Women’s Center, 154 Bridges. Soup will be served and heirloom seeds given out.
Bruce Roberts, of the department of anthropology and earth science, will present “Shaking the Tree: Dr. Wangari Maathai, the Greenbelt Movement and Civil Society in Kenya” at 3, also at the Women’s Center.
Both events are free and open to the public.
