Letter: FirstChoice Clinic extends thank youFirstChoice Clinic thanks the host of individuals and groups from the Fargo-Moorhead area for their support of the sixth annual “Valley’s Largest Baby Shower,” a monthlong effort to collect diapers, wipes, clothes and other newborn necessities. This event was sponsored and promoted by the Christian radio station KFNW and Hornbacher’s.
We offer a special thank you to the KFNW staff for their tremendous effort in educating the community about the work of FirstChoice Clinic and the sanctity of human life. Thank you also to the team at all area Hornbacher’s stores, which served as a drop-off location for new baby items. Thank you finally to the many volunteers who collected the items at the stores and delivered them to FirstChoice Clinic during January. We appreciate and are blessed by you.
Most importantly, we want to thank you, the community, for your generous support of this event. To date we estimate the drive generated diapers and baby items worth more than $5,000. The donated items collected will be distributed to clients in need through FirstChoice Clinic’s “Earn While You Learn” program, a program that helps vulnerable mothers and fathers learn skills to help them be the best parents possible, ensuring the health and well-being of their babies.
On behalf of the families we serve, we extend our deepest thanks to the Fargo-Moorhead community for this wonderful act of support for FirstChoice Clinic.
Frei is executive director, FirstChoice Clinic, Fargo.
