Six new employees hired at Discovery Benefits

Discovery Benefits, Fargo, has hired Lex Lunde, Melissa Gray and Krista Jones as participant service specialists, Eric Schmidt as a participant service operations specialist, Cody Stangeland as a COBRA account manager and Trina Montplaisir as a senior accountant.

Meyer, Davis join Park Co. Realtors staff

Doreen Meyer has joined Park Co. Realtors in Fargo as a sales associate and Gabbie Davis has joined the company as a client services associates.

Meyer has several years of experience in the banking and insurance industries. She and her husband, Dave, own Dave Meyer Construction, a residential new construction firm.

Davis attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College and has several years of experience in customer service.

Corporate Technologies hires two new engineers

Corporate Technologies has hired John Wobbema and Robert Aasen as system engineers.

Wobbema received an undergraduate degree in computer information systems from Valley City (N.D.) State University, and a masters degree in information technology management from the University of Mary, Fargo. He was previously employed at Microsoft, PRACS Institute and Information Management Systems, Fargo.

Aasen graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, with a computer programming diploma, an associates degree in computer and network technology and a Cisco certificate. He was previously employed at Computer Wrench, Moorhead, and Navteq, Case New Holland and Tech Mahindra, Fargo.

Meinecke-Johnson Co. promotes 2, hires one

Meinecke-Johnson Co., Fargo, has promoted Wes Leier to vice president and Brady Hasbargen has been named secretary to the board. Ann Thorsteinson has been hired as controller.

Leier has worked at Meinecke-Johnson since 1998 and Hasbargen has been with the company since 2002. Both will continue to work as estimators and project managers.

RDO Equipment Co. promotes Kreps to VP

RDO Equipment Co., Fargo, has named Mark Kreps vice president of sales-agriculture.

Kreps has nearly 30 years of sales and management experience. He started his career with RDO Equipment Co. 18 years ago as a sales manager for four locations in North Dakotas Red River Valley.

In 1997, he became the store manager for several agriculture locations, and since 2001 has been leading the core accounts team.

Cassandra Borlaug joins Pediatric Therapy

Cassandra Borlaug, an occupational therapist, has joined Pediatric Therapy Partners, 3060 Frontier Way S., Fargo.

Borlaug earned a masters degree in occupational therapy and a minor in special education at the University of Mary, Bismarck. She previously worked at Community Options and Acumen, Bismarck, Gundersen Lutheran, La Crosse, Wis., and Vista Child Therapy, Citrus Heights, Calif.

Her areas of interest include sensory integration, social skills, therapeutic listening and assisting children in becoming independent individuals.

Lost and Found Ministry picks executive director

Denise Peterson has joined Lost and Found Ministry, 111 7th St. S., Moorhead, as executive director.

Peterson comes to the position with experience in nonprofit management and development.

Ahonen hired at Bell State Bank and Trust

Matt Ahonen has been hired as a credit officer at Bell State Bank and Trust, 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo.

Originally from Moorhead, Ahonen earned a degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a degree in accounting from the University of Mary.

He has been in the banking and finance field for 10 years and was employed at Bank of the West for the last three years.

Three employees added to ShareHouse staff

ShareHouse, Fargo, has hired Wanda Crowe-Westall as a licensed addiction counselor, Sherrie Peterson as utilization review coordinator and Jane Phelps as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor.

Crowe-Westall earned a bachelors degree in human services and a bachelors degree in psychology, a minor in sociology, with concentration in chemical addiction counseling, from Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, S.D. She most recently worked as a team lead in the adult addiction unit at Southeast Human Service Center, Fargo.

Peterson earned a registered nurse degree from St. Lukes School of Nursing, Fargo, and is certified as a psychiatric and mental health nurse. She most recently worked as a psychiatric nurse coordinator at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.

Phelps earned a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in chemical dependency from Bemidji (Minn.) State University. She previously worked as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor at Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise, Fergus Falls, Minn.

Sara Stolt promoted to manager of HR planning

Sara Stolt has been promoted to manager of human resources planning in the human resources and development division at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Fargo.

Stolt earned a bachelors degree in speech and mass communication from North Dakota State University and a masters degree in strategic leadership at the University of Mary, Fargo.

She joined BCBSND in 2007 as a management development specialist.

VA names foster home program coordinator

Loni Larson has been named medical foster home program coordinator at the Fargo VA Health Care System.

The program is for veterans who are unable to live independently and who prefer a family setting for their care.

Larson joined the Fargo VA in 2008 as the social worker for the Community Living Center. She received bachelors and masters degrees from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and is a licensed independent clinical social worker.

American Crystal adds 3 shift administrators

Kent Buhr, Richard Curtis and Justin Fossen have been named shift administrators at American Crystal Sugar.

Buhr will work out of the Moorhead factory, Fossen will work out of the Hillsboro, N.D., factory and Curtis will work out of the factory in East Grand Forks, Minn.

NDSU hires crop protection specialist

Venkataramana Chapara has joined North Dakota State University as the Extension Services area crop protection specialist at the North Central Research Extension Center near Minot.

He will work on integrated pest management systems for all crops grown in the region.

Chapara earned a bachelors degree in agriculture from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University in India, a masters degree in agricultural entomology from Gujarat Agricultural University in India and a doctorate in plant pathology from NDSU.

Before joining NDSU, he was a post-doctoral research scientist in the Department of Crop Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana.

Hettwer promoted to branch manager

Jolene Hettwer has been promoted to branch manager of Walman Optical, Fargo. Hettwer will be responsible for managing the Walman and Soderberg optical divisions of Fargo.

She has 19 years of optical experience and has been the office supervisor for Walman Optical for the past 13 years.

Fraser Ltd. hires Kailey Krause as LPN

Kailey Krause has accepted the position of licensed practical nurse with Fraser Ltd., Fargo.

Krause earned an associate degree in practical nursing from Rasmussen College.

Stenehjem named chief retail banking officer

Peter Stenehjem has been promoted to chief retail banking officer at First International Bank and Trust, Fargo.

Stenehjem is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and an ICBA-certified commercial loan officer. He has more than 10 years of banking experience and is a fourth generation banker. First International Bank and Trust was founded by his great grandfather in 1910.

He is also on the board of directors at First International Bank and Trust.

Nurse practitioner joins Essentia in Valley City

Roxanne M. Johnson has joined the Essentia Health clinic in Valley City, N.D. As a family nurse practitioner, she will see patients of all ages.

Johnson most recently worked at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown. She earned a masters degree in nursing from the University of Mary, Bismarck.

AgCountry FCS hires one, promotes eight

AgCountry Farm Credit Services in Lisbon, N.D., has hired Stacy Erdmann as an insurance specialist serving the Ransom and Sargent County, N.D., area.

Erdmann previously worked as a soil conservation technician with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. She has a bachelors degree in animal and range science and a minor in ag business from North Dakota State University.

Recent promotions are: Dan Senn and Derrick Heick to agribusiness and capital markets senior financial analysts in Fargo; Marissa Hapka and Teri Lingen to senior retail finance marketing specialists in Fargo; Heather Schmidt, Valley City, N.D., and Gail Korth, Wahpeton, N.D., senior tax specialists; and Renae Fink, Ada, Minn., senior tax specialist and Anita Olson, Ada, senior credit technician.

Three financial planners hired at Gate City Bank

Gate City Bank in Fargo has hired Todd Olson as financial planning manager, Jamey Pesek as a financial planner and Emmett Worth as a financial planner associate.

Olson is a certified financial planner professional with more than 14 years of experience. He is a native of Fargo and received a bachelors degree in finance from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Pesek graduated from Concordia College and has 13 years of experience in the financial industry. Worth is a graduate of UND and has five years of experience in the financial industry.

Truchan joins TMI as sales tax specialist

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Ashley Truchan as sales tax specialist.

Truchan earned a bachelors degree in business administration from Bismarck State College. She was previously employed as an assistant teacher at Baby Bloomers Infant Center, Fargo, and as an administrative assistant in Bismarck State Colleges Institutional Research Department.
