App, messaging offered for ND road conditionsBISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Transportation has launched two new communication tools to distribute information to the public about North Dakota road conditions.
A new smartphone app enables access to the NDDOT’s Travel Information Map, providing an overview of road conditions in North Dakota. Advanced options allow users to add or remove map layers, save favorites, view cameras, search by keyword and select common routes.
GovDelivery, an email and text message service, is also now available. It allows people to subscribe to a number of NDDOT topics – including road conditions, job openings, state fleet vehicle auctions and public events. Subscribers receive notifications through email or text message when the information is updated.
The app can be accessed and installed on devices from www.dot.nd.gov. The GovDelivery service is also available at the NDDOT website by clicking on the red envelope at the top of the page.
