Plea deal reached in Fargo rape caseFARGO – A Fargo man has reached a plea deal with Cass County prosecutors in a case in which he’s accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl at his south Fargo home.
Though he wouldn’t detail what the deal calls for, Assistant Cass County State’s Attorney Ryan Younggren said an agreement to avoid a trial has been reached with Tremaine Quincy Jones, 19.
A trial had been set to start Tuesday. A plea hearing is set for Monday.
Jones and his half brother, Jermaine Quincy Jones, were charged with felony gross sexual imposition on allegations they had sex with 13-year-old girls at a Sept. 23 party at their apartment. Tremaine Jones is also charged with having sex with a 16-year-old girl and possessing sexually explicit images of her.
Jermaine Jones was convicted by a Cass County jury of one count of gross sexual imposition Feb. 20. He is awaiting sentencing.
