Los Angeles-based television firm seeking wealthy Fargo folksFARGO – If you’re wealthy and living in Fargo, a Los Angeles-based TV production company wants to talk to you.
Ramsey Casting, a company that has casted for reality shows such as “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and “American Bible Challenge,” is seeking successful and wealthy Fargo residents for a possible upcoming reality show.
The company sent out dozens of tweets Wednesday to Fargo-related Twitter accounts seeking suggestions of people to feature.
Ashton Ramsey, a casting producer for the company, said there’s a lot of interest in Fargo and in the people who live here.
“Fargo is a city with a story, and we are hoping to bring to life the story from the most successful people in the city,” Ramsey said in an email.
“We are looking for all kinds of stories, and in the end we are hoping to have a docu-series on a major cable network,” he added.
The show is currently in its very early stages of development. Producers are taking nominations of people to feature, and in the coming weeks may start contacting nominees to learn more about their backgrounds.
“The people we meet will shape the stories,” Ramsey said.
People are encouraged to submit nominations of Fargo residents, including contact information, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
