Former Blockbuster store in Fargo sold to mortgage companyFARGO – A building that was once home to a Blockbuster video store at 2300 13th Ave. S. in Fargo, has been sold.
First Class Mortgage is in the process of remodeling the building into office space.
The interior work is expected to be completed by April 1 and the exterior work by May 1.
“We’re hoping to be in there, probably the first or second week of May,” said Dan Van Winkle, president and co-owner of First Class Mortgage.
First Class Mortgage has been renting space at 300 45th St. S.W., Fargo, since it opened about 10 years ago.
In addition to housing the mortgage company, remodeled Blockbuster building will have room for a tenant, Van Winkle said.
He said they are hoping to create a small financial plaza by renting space to an insurance, accounting, or financial planning business.
Van Winkle is co-owner of First Class Mortgage with Greg Dean.
