Short film auditions slated March 2 in FargoFARGO – Jamestown College seniors Matthew Nies and Jessee Boyle will hold auditions for their short film, “Unheard Vision,” from noon to 3 p.m. March 2 at the Stage at Island Park, 333 4th St. S.
The original screenplay by Nies tells the story of a mute Congo war vet whose grandson comes to live with him after his parents die.
Castings are sought for nine to 10 males and five to six females. Specifically sought are: 60- to 70-year-old Caucasian male; 15- to 17-year-old boy; 50- to 60-year-old female; 5- to 7-year-old girls; and four dark-skinned males from 20 to 30.
The production will be in compliance with a SAG-AFTRA agreement, with deferred salaries. The film will be entered into numerous film festivals this summer.
Shooting will take place March 9, 10, 16, 30, and 31 at locations to be determined. Cuts of the script will be provided at auditions. Actors may request a portion of the script and character list before by contacting Nies at (402) 570-8196 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
