Fargo police issue sex offender notification

FARGO – The Fargo Police Department is alerting the public to a Fargo man and registered sex offender who has failed to keep authorities up to date on his whereabouts.

According to Fargo police:

Ashante Otis Epps, 22, failed to notify police of a change in address and failed to maintain communication with law enforcement, as required by state law.

Epps was assessed as a moderate-risk offender by the North Dakota Sex Offender Risk Assessment Committee.

His last known address was 123 15th St. N., Fargo.

Epps was convicted in 2008 of criminal sexual conduct in Olmsted County (Minn.) District Court.

His victim was a 16-year-old female acquaintance, according to Fargo police, who are asking anyone with information about Epps’ whereabouts to contact their local law enforcement agency.
