Minot AFB officials looking into chopper 'mishap'

MINOT — Minot Air Force Base officials are describing an emergency helicopter landing south of Parshall as a mishap.

Officials say two of five crew members on board received minor injuries when the UH-1N "Huey" helicopter went down in a remote area Monday morning. Three other crew members were not injured.

Col. Bryan Haderlie, commander of the 91st Operations Group, tells the Minot Daily News it was a "landing that you would characterize as a mishap." He gave no further details.

Haderlie says the extent of the damage is not known. The helicopter remains at the scene.
