ND House approves guns at school, church, gatheringsBISMARCK — North Dakota's House approved a package of bills Monday that would allow someone with a concealed weapon permit to carry a gun inside a school or church if officials there allow it.
House members also endorsed a measure that allows a concealed carry permit holder to have a gun at public gatherings. Another bill approved by the House allows people to possess a gun in public during a declared state of emergency.
The slate of gun measures easily passed the House though some lawmakers were critical.
Democratic Rep. Lois Delmore of Grand Forks says the measure to allow guns in school was passed with little input from parents and opens school districts up to liability issues.
