Forum editorial: Indoor play area wins rosesPRAIRIE ROSES: To the Fargo Park Board and park district officials on completion and opening of the spectacular indoor play area at Courts Plus Community Fitness Center in south Fargo. The seven-level playground is getting rave reviews from parents and children. It is an explosion of color in a state-of-the-art indoor play facility. While area children can have lots of fun in the snow and cold of winter, some days the weather is just too severe and dangerous for outdoor play. The huge, new indoor park is a perfect option in winter – or anytime, for that matter. The new facility is another excellent attraction for park district families and children – in keeping with the district’s ever-expanding recreational choices.
PRAIRIE ROSES: To Sanford Health and Moorhead city officials on the progress of a new Sanford Health primary care clinic on the east side of the city. It appears the clinic will open ahead of schedule in a little more than a year from now. The beautiful building will house 30 physicians and clinicians and offer medical service not now offered in Moorhead. The
$13 million project of 49,000 square feet will house 53 examination rooms and room for more. Moorhead business leaders are pleased with the prospect of a regional medical facility that will allow Moorhead residents to get care in Moorhead, rather than cross the Red River to Fargo. Additionally, the clinic expects to attract patients from Clay County and adjacent counties. It’s good news, specifically for Moorhead, but also for the expanding health care options for the entire region.
