Dragons women earn win against Minot State

MOORHEAD – Morgan Zabel scored 20 points to help spark Minnesota State Moorhead to a 74-61 victory against Minot State on Saturday in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women’s basketball at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.

Zabel shot 67 percent from the field (8 of 12) and was one of four Dragons to score in double digits. MSUM junior point guard Haley Thomforde added a game-high 10 assists.

MSUM hosts the University of Sioux Falls at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the NSIC tournament.
