Fargo North, Minot win ND state boys hockey consolation gamesGRAND FORKS – Jackson Graalum’s short-handed goal at 4 minutes, 36 seconds of the second period was the game’s lone goal as Fargo North defeated Bismarck 1-0 in consolation play at the North Dakota state boys hockey tournament Friday.
Brodie Gylten picked up the assist.
North, however, held a 36-19 shots-on-goal advantage.
North goalie Christian Colman finished with 19 saves while Bismarck’s Trenton Schwehr ended with 35.
The Spartans improved to 20-6-0 while Bismarck High closed out at 18-8-0.

Minot 3, Jamestown 2
Two quick second-period goals by the Magicians turned the tide.
Jamestown led 1-0 on Nick Stockert’s first-period goal, but Minot’s Jersey Kelly scored two goals 34 seconds apart early in the second period to lift Minot.
Kelly scored at 13 seconds and 47 seconds of the second. Matt Flom’s goal at 16:15 of the third gave Minot a 3-1 lead.
Austen Rene’s goal in the third brought Jamestown to within one, but the Blue Jays couldn’t get the equalizer.
Kelly also assisted on Flom’s goal.
Minot improved to 16-9-1 while Jamestown closed out at 13-13-0.
