Advocacy organization seeks Woman of the Year nomineesBISMARCK – The search is on for the North Dakota Women’s Network 2013 Woman of the Year.
This is the seventh year the nonprofit has given the award.
“Nominees for the award should be women who have dedicated their time and talents to improve the quality of life for women in North Dakota,” says board Chairwoman JoNelle Bakke.
She says nominees should be leaders and advocates in areas such as women’s health and reproductive rights, the support of educational opportunities for women, and equal pay for equal work.
Past recipients include Ellen Chaffee, Bonnie Palecek and Nancy Johnson.
To submit a nomination, download the nomination form at www.ndwomen.org or email email@example.com. Nominations are due March 1.
The Woman of the Year will be honored at the NDWN 2013 annual meeting, which will be held in the fall.
