Travel alert issued for northeastern North DakotaGRAND FORKS – The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for the northeastern region of the state, including the cities of Grand Forks, Pembina, Drayton, Cavalier and Michigan and surrounding areas.
Visibility is being reduced by blowing snow, drifting and snow fog when meeting and passing vehicles, the DOT stated in a news release.
Motorists can still travel in the areas covered by the alert, which was issued at 11:45 a.m. But the DOT advised that conditions could change rapidly, and drivers are encouraged to reduce speeds and drive according to conditions.
