Bison drop second straight baseball game to Arkansas-Pine Bluff

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Dwayne Hysmith scored the game-winning run on a throwing error in the 13th inning after being hit by a pitch to open the frame as the Golden Lions defeated North Dakota State 5-4 in baseball on Sunday at the Torii Hunter Complex.

Hysmith advanced to second on a walk and to third on a fielder’s choice before the error.

NDSU right fielder Blake Turbak went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

The Bison (1-2) managed just four hits as they fell to Arkansas-Pine Bluff 5-1 on Saturday.

NDSU catcher Michael Leach recorded the lone hit.

The Golden Lions scored two runs in the sixth and two in the seventh innings to secure the win.
