Straka sets shutouts record in NDSU baseball victory

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – John Straka set the North Dakota State record for career shutouts, tossing a two-hitter as the Bison won their baseball season opener 4-0 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday at the Torii Hunter Complex.

Straka struck out six and didn’t walk a batter.

Tim Colwell had three of NDSU’s five hits, while Jon Hechtner drove in two runs.
