Letter: Thanks for return of lost car keys

I wanted to extend my gratitude to “a friendly person” who found my car key in the parking lot at Sanford on Feb. 6.

My husband was in for surgery on the 6th. When it was time to leave, I started to dig through my purse to find my car key. Keep in mind, we just recently lost our other car key and this was the only one I had. Needless to say, I was freaking out when I noticed that my key was not where it was supposed to be. After looking through the waiting room, we walked to the front desk with one last attempt to find this key and there it was, sitting on the desk. I about started to cry in pure relief.

It was then I was told the entire story of how this was found in the parking lot by one of the ladies at the front desk and how not only did she bring the key into them but also wrote down my license plate number. This was pretty amazing, I must say! I also found the note on my car from her, which was signed “A friendly person.”

I really want her to know that I am very appreciative of her turning the key in and taking the extra initiative to write down my plate number and the note. There are literally no words to say how thankful I am. Thank you so very much.
