Style Profile: ‘Vintage boho’ style for craft boutique owner

Where: Both events will be held at the Plains Art Museum, 704 1st Ave N.
Info: Tickets for the gala are $8 in advance, or $10 at the door. They’re sold at Unglued and online.
FARGO - Ashley Morken is a downtown store owner known for making crafting cool.
Morken owns Unglued, located at 408 Broadway, with her husband, Justin.
I spotted Morken at her store looking comfortable, creative and quirky on Valentine’s Day.
Describe your style. Vintage boho – it’s not quite one or the other.
What are you wearing? TOMS ballet flats, ZARA skirt, two shirts from Proper & Prim (another downtown boutique), scarf by Mae, earrings by Botny and hair pin by This Earthly Tent.
Unglued sells the scarves, earrings and hair pins.)
What influences your style? Vintage advertising – I love the feminine retro look – A Beautiful Mess blog and Proper & Prim’s Instagram feed.
Which celeb’s style do you covet? It sounds cliché to admit, but Zooey Deschanel’s. She wears things that I would and could actually wear.
I like her style but I’d mix it with something unexpected, like Minnetonka boots.
What’s the best part of owning your own business? Inspiring people – the crafters and the shoppers.
The Third Annual Unglued: Craft Fest! is this weekend. What can attendees expect this year? We added a gala night on Friday, where people can pay to have a fancy shopping experience.
They’ll get a drink ticket and be able to shop, drink wine and talk to the crafters. It’ll be a more relaxed experience.
We’ve also added craft demos to the Craft Fest this year. About half of the vendors this year are new, too.
