Turnbergs lose in third episode of ‘Family Feud’

ATLANTA – After two straight victories on “Family Feud,” the Turnbergs couldn’t keep their streak going.

The family, which includes former Forum columnist and TV news anchor Michelle Turnberg, of Fargo, lost to the Lago family from Louisiana in the fourth round of Thursday’s episode.

The Turnbergs stumbled on a question about “Something you take off your socks to do,” missing two of the six answers.

Then the Lagos were able to get all the answers to the question “Name a special day when calories don’t count” – “A birthday,” “Thanksgiving,” “Christmas” and “Valentine’s Day” – propelling them to the “Fast Money” round.

In all, Turnberg and her four cousins won slightly more than $21,000 during their three-game run, which was filmed in July in the show’s Atlanta studio.

Turnberg said the family will receive their winnings, which will be less after taxes, sometime in the next year.

There’s a chance that the women could be invited back for a “favorite family” episode sometime in the future, Turnberg said, but nothing is guaranteed.

“It’s just been a lot of fun. We’re pretty thankful we had the opportunity to be on the show,” she said.
