Cobbers men clinch second seed in MIAC playoffs

ST. PAUL – Concordia guard Aaron Lindahl scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Cobbers to a 90-78 victory over Hamline on Saturday to clinch a second-place finish in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference final standings.

The Cobbers (17-7, 14-5 MIAC) had three players post 15 points or more. Ebo Nana-Kweson recorded 18 points and six rebounds while Dewon McKenzie and Andrew Martinson each added 16 points.

Hamline was led by Noah Aguirre, who finished with a double-double, scoring 19 points and collecting 10 rebounds.

The No. 2 seed means Concordia gets a first-round bye and a home game in the MIAC semifinals on Friday, Feb. 22.
