Lydia DeMarais joins US Commercial Service

The U.S. Commercial Service office in Fargo has hired Lydia DeMarais as an export assistant.

DeMarais has been majoring in business and Spanish at North Dakota State University. She will assist with client market research, export assistance support and event management. Her position is sponsored by the North Dakota District Export Council and STEP-ND funds.

Tom Hannasch hired at Early Intervention

Early Intervention Partners, 3060 Frontier Way S., has hired Tom Hannasch as an evaluator. He will provide education and support for daily living to families and children between the ages of 0-3 with special needs.

Hannasch received a bachelors degree in special education and a masters degree in special education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is certified in early childhood special education, intellectual disabilities K-12, and also has an autism certificate and director of special education certificate.

He has 26 years of experience in early childhood special education in North Dakota and Minnesota and two years of infant development experience in southwestern Minnesota. He also has seven years of experience as an extended school year coordinator.

Kvam, Atkinson hired at AM Realtors office

Mari Kvam has joined the AM Realtors office in Fargo as a real estate agent, and Dawn Atkinson has been hired as office manager and closing coordinator.

Kvam has more than 20 years of sales experience, including three years of marketing real estate in the Detroit Lakes, Minn., area. She also previously worked as an interior design professional in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Karels named corporate asset manager

David Karels has joined Border States Electric in Fargo as the corporate asset manager.

Karels previously worked at Ulteig in Fargo as chief business officer and at Nor-Son as chief operating officer in Baxter, Minn.

Most recently he was the director of operations at Henry Carlson Co., Fargo.

Oxbow Country Club promotes Bichler

Sarah Bichler has been promoted to director of member engagement and events at the Oxbow (N.D.) Country Club.

Bichler has worked for the past year in the bar and restaurant at Oxbow, most recently as a food and beverage manager.

She is a native of St. Cloud, Minn., and a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Choice Financial hires Cook as credit banker

Jordan Cook has joined Choice Financial as a credit banker at the location at 4501 23rd Ave. S., Fargo.

He previously was a credit analyst with a financial institution and was also an FDIC bank examiner.

Cook graduated from North Dakota State University with degrees in finance and economics.

NetWork Center hires McKenzie, Martin

NetWork Center, Fargo, has hired Andrew McKenzie and Adam Martin as sales associates.

McKenzie graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in communications studies. He was previously an admissions counselor at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and at MSUM.

Martin has more than seven years of experience in sales and has also worked as a business development consultant.

New team members at Offutt companies

Carla Wurzer has joined the R.D. Offutt Co. as an executive assistant, and Audra Hagen Grunhovd has joined RDO Equipment Co. as an accounts receivable representative, both in Fargo.

Wurzer was previously employed as an account manager at Discovery Benefits, Fargo, and also worked in administrative support at Fargo South High School.

Hagen Grunhovd previously worked as an assistant manager at Walgreens and was also a credit analyst at U.S. Bank.

Kadie Stoltz promoted at Cornerstone Bank

Cornerstone Bank, Fargo, has promoted Kadie Stoltz to operations assistant II.

She has been with Cornerstone Bank since 2010.

Two promoted at Northwestern Bank

Sheila Dewey has been promoted to loan specialist III at Northwestern Banks Moorhead location, and Patti Cosgriff has been promoted to vice president/credit analyst II.

Dewey is a native of Moorhead and earned a degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has more than 17 years of banking experience including customer service representative and loan operations.

Cosgriff graduated from MSUM and has been with Northwestern Bank for more than two years.

RLE Group hires two project technicians

The RLE Group, Fargo, has hired Wayne Steiner and Shaun Fehrenbach as project CAD/BIM technicians.

Steiner has a background in architecture and construction, and taught architectural drafting and construction management for many years. He is a graduate of Valley City (N.D.) State University.

Fehrenbach has a background in construction and many years of experience in drafting. He graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.

Vogel Law Firm hires new associate attorney

The Vogel Law Firm has added Evan Knobloch to the firm as an associate attorney in the Fargo office. He will concentrate his practice on corporate law including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, corporate governance and contract review.

He was previously an associate attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, Chicago.

Knobloch graduated from the University of Michigan Law School. While in law school, he was a legal extern to Judge Kermit Bye of the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Knobloch received an undergraduate degree from Concordia College.

Bauer Built names new NW region sales VP

Jim Mitchell, Bauer Built Tire Center store manager in St. Paul, has been named vice president of sales in the newly created Northwest region.

He will oversee Bauer Built Tire Centers in St. Paul and Blaine, Minn., and in Fargo.

Mitchell started working for Bauer Built as a store manager in Indianapolis and moved to the St. Paul location six years ago.

Northern Improvement promotes 1, hires 1

Lori Kaste has been promoted to payroll manager at Northern Improvement Co., Fargo. She has been with the company since 1999.

Alex Oestreich has joined Northern Improvement in a newly created position as employee benefits manager. Oestreich is a graduate of Concordia College and was previously employed at a local third-party benefits administrator.

Solberg Stewart Miller adds new attorney

Frannie Nelson has joined the Solberg Stewart Miller law firm in Fargo.

Nelson is a native of Fargo and graduated from North Dakota State University and Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul.

She will focus her practice on family law and the general practice of law.

Eide Bailly hires technology recruiter

Eide Bailly, Fargo, has hired Melissa Tortorice as a technology recruiter.

She has more than 10 years of senior recruitment experience, primarily in the technology, health care and building materials industries.

Tortorice graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Reinhardt named VP of accounting at TMI

Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired Tony Reinhardt as vice president of accounting.

Reinhardt graduated from Jamestown (N.D.) College with bachelors degrees in accounting and business administration.

His previous work experience includes technical account manager and financial analyst at Microsoft and financial analyst at Otter Tail Corp.

He most recently was assistant controller and director of finance and controller at DMI Industries.

Moyano named member relations coordinator

Michelle Moyano has joined the staff of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber as member relations coordinator.

Moyano was previously a public relations ambassador before joining The Chamber staff. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with degrees in university and multicultural studies.

Nardini Fire Equipment in Fargo hires Mohr

Katie Mohr has joined Nardini Fire Equipment in Fargo as an administrative specialist.

Originally from Fargo, she graduated from Fargo North High School and earned an associate degree in business management/human resources from Rasmussen College.

She most recently worked as a receptionist at Wallwork Truck Center, Fargo.

Bank promotes Hunter to branch president

Midwest Bank has promoted Nate Hunter to president of its branch in Barnesville, Minn.

Hunter has worked in banking since 2003 and was a commercial lender at Midwest Bank in Detroit Lakes, Minn., prior to assuming the Barnesville branch president position.

He has a bachelors degree in accounting from Concordia College.

First International Bank hires 2, promotes 1

First International Bank and Trust has hired Keith Coalwell as vice president/Moorhead branch manager, and Karma Richtsmeier as a loan assistant in the southwest Fargo location.

Dawn Omdahl has been promoted to assistant vice president/senior personal loan officer at the banks southwest Fargo location.

Coalwell graduated from North Dakota State University and was Dilworth mayor for two terms until 2010. He has 20 years of banking experience and is working out of the branch in southwest Fargo. He will manage the Moorhead office at 800 30th Ave. S., which will open in the spring.

Richtsmeier has seven years of banking experience as a customer service representative and loan processor. Originally from Hunter, N.D., she graduated from NDSU with a degree in business administration.

Omdahl has 28 years of banking experience, with her background over the past 15 years in personal lending. She has lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area since 1994.

Five new hires, one promotion at Sundog

Sundog Inc., Fargo, has hired Jerilyn Stocker as an associate project manager, Eric DeBilt as a software engineer, John Schneider as an associate insights analyst, and Sarah Nissen and Erin Heinrich as project managers. Justin Welk has been promoted to talent coordinator.

Stocker was previously an intern at Sundog, and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelors degree in communication studies and leadership.

DeBilt has more than 10 years of experience as a senior implementation specialist and senior software engineer. He earned a bachelors degree in computer science from North Dakota State University.

Schneider was previously an analyst intern at Sundog and is a graduate of NDSU with a bachelors degree in marketing and web design.

Nissen has nine years of marketing experience, holding various positions, most recently interim director in admissions at MSUM. She attended MSUM, where she studied mass communications, public relations, advertising, print journalism and music. After obtaining a bachelors degree, she earned a masters degree in organizational communications from NDSU.

Heinrich has nine years of experience after holding a variety of positions in the client services and marketing industries. She earned a bachelors degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from NDSU.

Welk had been a project manager for two years with Sundog before his promotion.

Mueller named seed quality lab manager

Jeanna Mueller has been named seed quality lab manager for the North Dakota State Seed Department.

Mueller has more than six years of experience at the State Seed Department as a seed analyst.

She began her career in 2006 and has achieved certification through the Association of Official Seed Analysts as a certified seed analyst in germination and purity testing.

She was promoted to senior seed analyst in 2010. Mueller graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in crop and weed science.

VISIONBank promotes Gilderhus, Evavold

VISIONBank, Fargo, has promoted Katy Gilderhus to teller supervisor and Lyndee Evavold to mortgage loan processor.

Gilderhus has been with the bank for a year and has six years of banking experience. She is a graduate of North Dakota State University.

Evavold has been with VISIONBank for five years and is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Linda Brew joins Haga and Associates

Linda Brew has joined Haga and Associates Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, Fargo, as the administration manager.

She is originally from Dickinson, N.D., and is a certified public accountant. Brew has 15 years of experience in public accounting and more than 10 years of experience as a controller in the construction and telecommunications industries.

Marren hired as chief information officer

Peterson Farms Seed, Harwood, N.D., has hired Mike Marren as the chief information officer.

Marren graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a bachelors degree in business management. He earned a masters degree in business administration in leadership from Baker College, and earned his project management professional certification in 2012.

While in the Air Force he was a Manpower officer focusing on program/process improvement. Following his four years in the Air Force, he spent six years at Nokia/Navteq as a production manager responsible for global management of the Points of Interest in Navteq digital maps.
