Celebrities, heroes to read children’s stories

FARGO – CHARISM’s Celebration of Children’s Literacy Day of Reading will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Fargo Public Library, 102 3rd St. N. The event is free and open to the public.

Local celebrities and heroes will read children’s stories throughout the day.

The schedule of readers includes:

10 a.m., Sgt. Tara Morris, Cass County Sheriff’s Department; 10:30 a.m., Amy Ihler, KFGO; 11 a.m., Sgt. George Vinson and K9 Earl, Fargo Police Department; 11:30 a.m., Hutch Johnson, KVLY; noon, Christopher Gabriel, WDAY; 12:30 p.m., Fargo Fire Department firefighters; 1 p.m., JJ Gordon, Linebenders comedian; 1:30 p.m., Kelly Welle, teacher of the year; 2 p.m., Christian Dudzik, North Dakota State University football player; 2:30 p.m., James Burgum; 3 p.m., FM RedHawks player and Hawkeye; 3:30 p.m., Jade Monroe from the local band Jade and the Greenhouse; and 4 p.m., Melissa Sobolik, Fargo city commissioner.
