NDSU’s Anderson ties school record with 64HOUSTON – North Dakota State senior Nathan Anderson ripped off seven birdies in nine holes and tied a school record with a 64 to finish in a second place tie Tuesday in the Rice Intercollegiate golf tournament.
His 64 tied the mark set by Taylor Cavanagh in 2008 at the NDSU Erv Kaiser Invitational. Anderson finished one shot back of Florida Atlantic’s Richard Donegan. It was NDSU’s first tourney of the season.
“I hadn’t chipped or putted for months,” Anderson said. “I get down here and I start making all these putts. It was about as good as it gets. I just got on a streak.”
