Letter: Moorhead’s idiotic snow removalMoorhead - "The learning curve" is poorly chosen, as it has been mostly college students targeted by the ridiculous “snow-removal” event in Moorhead.
My car, too, was towed and so were many others, including one of my roommate’s cars. Normally, I’d be walk to campus, but with the terrible upkeep of both Moorhead’s roads and sidewalks, I drive. It’s the safer option.
But to the matter in hand. It would have been nice had the students been informed at 2 p.m. the prior day (which would have been Tuesday), like these rules state they should be. I was not informed until around 9 a.m., and that was by email. For someone who works two jobs and goes to school full time, don’t you think it a bit unreasonable to expect me to get an email at 9 a.m. with important, yet temporary, rules and regulations, despite towing services starting at 8 a.m.? I smell greed. Shame on both Minnesota State University Moorhead and the city of Moorhead itself.
The biggest pity is that I have to live in Moorhead to finish out my degree. The politics and way that this city is slapped together in comparison to Fargo is almost laughable.
