Big second half sparks Concordia women

ST. PAUL – Concordia outscored Macalester by 23 points in the second half to erase a two-point halftime deficit and pick up a 66-45 win in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball on Saturday.

Alexandra Lippert scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Cobbers (16-4, 15-2 MIAC), who have won seven games in a row and 13 of their last 14.

Tricia Sorensen had a game-high 13 rebounds and became the 15th player in school history to amass 500 rebounds for her career.
