UPDATED: I-94 between Mandan and Dickinson reopens; travel alert still in effect for western, central NDBISMARCK – The North Dakota Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Highway Patrol have reopened the closed westbound and eastbound lanes of I-94 between Dickinson and Mandan. They have also lifted the no-travel advisory for the northwest and north-central regions of the state.
A travel alert remains in effect for western and central North Dakota, including Williston, Dickinson, Minot, Bismarck, Devils Lake, Jamestown, and their surrounding areas because of compacted snow and ice with blowing snow creating reduced visibility. Drivers can still travel during a travel alert, but they may encounter areas of challenging winter weather driving conditions and should use caution.
