Bison golfers picked second in the Summit

FARGO – North Dakota State’s men’s golf team has been picked to finish second in the Summit League, according to a preseason poll of the league’s nine coaches.

Kansas City was picked to finish first with seven of the eight available first-place votes and 60 points. NDSU had one first-place vote and 52 points. Fort Wayne was third followed by Oakland, South Dakota State, Indiana Purdue-Indianapolis, Western Illinois, South Dakota and Nebraska-Omaha.

The Bison are led by senior Nathan Anderson, who ranked second in the Summit during last fall’s season. Sophomore Trent Olson ranked fourth, sophomore Bill Carlson eighth, freshman Connor Holland 17th and senior Nate Varty 25th.
