New snow removal district used for first time in Moorhead, violators to be towedMOORHEAD – City officials are warning drivers near the Concordia College and Minnesota State University Moorhead campuses that a snow removal declaration will place restrictions on parking today and Thursday.
The zones affected by the declaration are the Blue Zones marked by signs. It’s the first time the city has used the procedure since establishing the snow removal zone last year.
The restrictions prohibit street parking from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in front of houses with even numbers – north and east sides of street.
The restrictions prohibit street parking from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in front of houses with odd numbers – south and west sides of street.
Standard parking restrictions will be in effect after 8 p.m. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.
