Police investigate online Facebook threat from Fargo studentFARGO – A Fargo police lieutenant said his department is investigating threats posted on at least one social media outlet from a Davies High School student toward a student at West Fargo High School using text messaging.
Lt. Joel Vettel said the threats included a reference to the recent tragedies at West Fargo High, where five students have died since the beginning of the school year. Vettel said the threats, which were posted on Facebook and possibly also on Twitter, were directed at the West Fargo student rather than at the school itself and were not deemed credible.
He said authorities decided not to shut the school down because of the lack of credibility.
However, he said police were investigating to see whether or not the threats themselves constituted a criminal offense such as terrorizing or disorderly conduct.
