Essentia clinic adds womens health services

Essentia Health has added obstetrics and gynecologic services to its clinic in West Fargo.

Jennifer Janke, a certified nurse midwife and womens health nurse practitioner, is seeing patients at the West Fargo clinic and at the facility on 32nd Avenue South in Fargo.

She provides a full range of womens health services, specializing in labor and delivery and preventive medicine for women.

SENDCAA offering free tax preparation

South Eastern North Dakota Community Action is offering free tax preparation for income eligible families and individuals during the February to early April tax season.

Volunteer tax preparers have passed IRS testing for Voluntary Income Tax Assistance certification and will accept appointments from clients at various sites throughout Region 5 of North Dakota, including at 3233 S. University Drive, Fargo, and in Lisbon, Wahpeton, Mayville, Enderlin, Forman and Hillsboro.

Eligibility guidelines include income of $50,000 or less, investment income of $3,500 or less and must not be self-employed.

Continuing ed classes slated for contractors

The Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead is offering classes to fulfill Minnesota contractor continuing education requirements Feb. 6 at the Butler Machinery training facility, 3401 33rd St. S., Fargo.

Topics covered will include Minnesota code history, asphalt roofing and felt, under-decking drainage, engineered wood and insulating.

The classes are approved by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for seven hours of continuing education for the residential building industry.

Employing vets topic of FMHRA meeting

The Fargo-Moorhead Human Resource Association will host an educational luncheon meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Ramada Plaza and Suites, Fargo.

Diana Barta of Kardrmas, Lee and Jackson, and Bradley Aune with Job Service North Dakota Veterans Employment Team, will discuss employing veterans, transition pre- and post-deployment and possible barriers to hiring military personnel.

They will also speak about their involvement in the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber Honor Star and Military Affairs Committee.
