Frauendorfer reaches milestone as Omaha tops NDSU

OMAHA, Neb. – Paige Frauendorfer scored 25 points to lead Nebraska-Omaha to a 61-52 victory against North Dakota State in Summit League women’s basketball Thursday.

Frauendorfer eclipsed 1,000 career points.

“She’s nice athletically,” NDSU head coach Carolyn DeHoff said. “She’s explosive to the rim.”

The Mavericks shot 48 percent from the floor. A 58-percent clip in the first half helped Omaha jump out to a 32-23 lead at halftime.

Ericka House added 13 points for the Mavericks, while Jamie Nash had 11 points and all 11 of her team’s assists.

Katie Birkel scored 15 points and Dani DeGagne had 11 for the Bison, who shot only 31 percent from the floor.

“We just have to continue to get into the gym like we’re doing and keep getting shots up,” DeHoff said.
